Imaginative, Playful, Purposeful!
Before pivoting my career to product design, I worked as a interactive designer and illustrator at MarcoPolo Learning — an e-learning company for children aged 3–7.
In 2018, we launched the first educational app — MarcoPolo World School, it is designed for children aged 3–7. This comprehensive learning program offers over 500 video lessons and 3,000 interactive activities, providing young explorers with an engaging way to discover the world.
My contributions included refining the brand’s visual identity, developing storyboards for app animations, and conceptualizing and designing numerous visual assets for mini-games. Additionally, I created educational print materials for the Educator platform, further extending the brand’s impact beyond the app.

I had the opportunity to design a wide variety of icons for the product, print materials, and social media platforms, contributing to a cohesive and visually engaging brand presence.

Social posts
I drew a lot of illustrations for the company social posts across various platforms. I also created templates and guidelines that other team members can use in further posts.
Video storyboard
One of the key features of the MarcoPolo World School app is its rich library of educational videos—over 500 in total—covering a wide range of topics such as the Arctic, Rainforest, Space, and more. For each video, illustrators are responsible for creating detailed storyboards that guide the animation team in producing fun and engaging content for young learners. Below are two episodes that I storyboarded.

Episode: Entomologist

Episode: Taj Mahal
Mini game transition
The mini-games are designed to reinforce the new knowledge children gain from videos, ensuring a seamless and engaging learning experience. When creating games for kids, our focus is on simplicity and enjoyment. To achieve this, we collaborated closely with educators to incorporate professional insights. The app now features eight mini-games, including unique ones like Tumbler, Shapes, and Sightwords, each crafted to make learning interactive and fun.

Recently, more customers are down tiering and downgrading Xfinity's TV service. Potential customers with income constraints are choosing streaming service over traditional TV providers.
